Teachers

Warm Greetings

I was watching the speech of Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani young girl, a Nobel Laureate, on BBC world and on being a teacher, I was thoroughly inspired by a sentence of hers: “One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.”

The need of the hour is inspirational people who can touch the hearts for better direction, for better life. We need a change, a new light to be spread to each corner to bring about new hopes in this world with perennial problems. The onus is the teachers. Teaching should be appealing; a teacher must enjoy his or her job, the youngsters must accept the teachers. Young people need stability in their lives and teachers must provide that strong shoulders to them to cry on. Let us make school a home; let us build, nurture and maintain a relationship between the teachers and pupils, just like a home where all are free relaxed. I would like to conclude by another gem of B. F. Skinner: “Education is what survives when what has been learned has been forgotten”.

I wish to extend my heartfelt and sincere gratitude to all the Ex Principals and the present Principal, Sr.Marina Thomas, Vice Principal, Sr. Christina Be and our beloved teachers for their hard work and dedication.
